We're about a month away from the start of the NFL season, but with the beginning of preseason play only a few days away, bettors are looking for early action in the player futures market.

In the quarterback market, Derek Carr is simply dominating the wagers. The Las Vegas Raiders quarterback received the most bets and accounts for the most handle in both the touchdowns and yards leader markets at BetMGM.

With 22.1% of the tickets and 30.3% of the handle in the yards leader market, he represents a sizable liability. Carr finished fifth in yards and 12th in touchdowns last season, but the addition of Davante Adams will certainly help his efforts. Carr is +1000 to lead the league in yards and +1800 to lead the league in touchdowns.

Tom Brady led the NFL in yards and touchdowns in the 2021 season, but the soon-to-be, 45-year-old veteran isn't getting much love either market. He's received less than 6% of the wagers in each category, at +800 and +650, respectively.

In terms of interceptions, bettors are liking the odds of Trey Lance consistently turning the ball over.

Lance has amassed a whopping 20.7% of the betting tickets and 44.2% of the handle in the market at a +3000 price.

Zach Wilson is at the top of the odds table with a +800 price to lead the league in picks, but he's gotten just 1.7% of the wagers and 2.6% of the tickets.

Of course, no interceptions market would be complete without Jameis Winston. He's earned the second-most bets and handle percentage at a +1400 price.

As you would expect, Carr represents the biggest liability for both the touchdowns and yards markets, while Lance represents the biggest liability in the interceptions category.

Carr and the Raiders get their preseason underway Thursday, though it's unclear if he'll be a participant in the game.
