It seems like we see moments like these time and time again in the NFL and in college football, but they never seem to be less brutal.

Last week, it was the Mississippi State Bulldogs that covered on a game-ending 60-yard fumble reception touchdown, and this week it's the Dolphins that have delivered pain or jubilation for bettors, depending on which side you were on.

The Dolphins came into their Week 18 bout with the Jets as 3.5-point favorites, but they were not covering for a single second in the game. In fact, they got this cover without ever leading by more than three points in regulation.

With five seconds left on the clock, the Jets attempted a pitch play down three, and as any experienced bettor knew, anything was possible.

JETS (+3.5) IS A BRUTAL BEAT 🤮

Sure enough, after a few pitches and a final botched one, the ball bounced out of the sideline of the Jets' end zone, resulting in a safety and a five-point victory for the 'Fins.

If you were on the Jets here, I truly apologize. If you were on the Dolphins, please take a moment to appreciate how rare it is to be on the correct side of these moments.
