This will be the third time in seven weeks that these teams will play. After this week, half of the Eagles’ last six games will have been against the Giants.

Back one Dec. 11, the Eagles went into MetLife Stadium and rolled over the Giants, 48-22. Jalen Hurts had three touchdowns (two passing and one rushing), while Miles Sanders ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns. Philly was up 24-7 at halftime and never looked back. Daniel Jones didn’t even finish the game.

In that first meeting, Philadelphia had 133 more yards of offense and averaged 1.8 yards per play more than New York. It was a beatdown, and it got the Eagles to 12-1 on the season.

In Week 18, looking at who was active, you would’ve thought it’d be more of the same. The Giants were locked into the No. 6 seed in the NFC, so there was no Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley, Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins or Richie James. It was Davis Webb under center and Gary Brightwell leading the Giants backfield.

For Philadelphia, everyone was active. Jalen Hurts came back from injury to make sure the Eagles got the win they needed to secure the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

This matchup was unexpectedly closer, although Philadelphia was in control most of the game. The Eagles entered the fourth quarter up 19-3, but the game finished 22-16 and the Giants covered.

The Eagles went 2-0 straight-up in these matchups, but the Giants did cover in Week 18.

Betting Stats

The Eagles finished the regular season 0-4 against the spread, although two of those games were without Hurts. In total, Philadelphia finished the season 3-7 ATS after started 5-2.

The Giants, meanwhile, thrived for bettors throughout the regular season. As one of the biggest surprises in the NFL, it made sense that New York was successful in the betting market.

New York started the season 6-1 ATS and never slowed down. The G-Men finished the year 13-4 ATS.

This season's Giants team improved to 14-4 ATS with a win as underdogs against the Vikings in the NFC Wild Card Round.
