Week 6 of the NFL season brings with it a matchup between Adam Gase’s former dumpster fire and his current one.

[Insert Spiderman pointing meme here]

The Jets are bad … really bad. Gang Green’s -86-point differential is the worst in the league, so the team’s 0-5 start to the season isn’t exactly shocking.

However, the fact that the Jets are 8.5-POINT UNDERDOGS to the Dolphins certainly says something about the Jets’ ineptitude.

According to our Bet Labs data, Miami hasn’t been a favorite of more than a touchdown since Sept. 26, 2016 against Cleveland — a game that Gase failed to cover (shockingly) as the Dolphins’ head coach.

In fact, should the Dolphins close at -8 or higher against the Jets, it’ll be just the ninth time that Miami has been a favorite of eight or more points since 2003.

And while this has zero correlation to what we’ll see on Sunday, the ‘Fins are 0-8 against the spread in those matchups.

Interestingly, bettors are already laying the points with Miami as 58% of tickets are taking the Dolphins in early Week 6 betting.
