Titans vs Colts Week 8 Preview

This AFC South tilt sets up to be a high scoring game.

It's looking like L'Jarius Sneed and Jeffery Simmons aren't going to play, which obviously doesn't bode well for the Titans.

After Simmons went out last week, Tennessee got overrun by the Patriots, who looked like they were able just to do whatever they wanted on the ground. The loss of Simmons is particularly massive as it causes a trickle-down effect.

Not only has Simmons been arguably the most dominant interior defensive lineman in the NFL this year, but there’s not many positive things to say about the rest of the Titans’ defense beyond him.

The good news for the Titans is that their offense looked a bit better last week. They simplified everything for rookie QB Cam Ward, and it has led to some better results.

But even without Will Levis doing questionable things, the Titans still seemingly manage to gift the opposing team a touchdown every week, whether it's a pick-six or a fumble.

On the other side, the Colts’ offense is scoring on everybody. That's a great thing for Shane Steichen’s team as their defense isn't very good.

The secondary is banged up, and it showed last week as the Chargers racked up 475 yards of offense against them despite all of their offensive line injuries.

Titans vs Colts Prediction, Betting Analysis

While the second meeting between divisional rivals tends to trend under more times than not — as there's usually some familiarity there — I don't know how the Titans are going to get stops in this game.

There's a good chance we'll see the Colts score at least 30 or 35 points in this spot, and I think the Titans can get to 14 or maybe even 20, which would send this game comfortably over the total of 47.5.

Pick: Over 47 (-110)
