Total Shock: Lightning-Bruins Game 3 Somehow Stays Under
The Highlights
- The Lightning and Bruins scored four goals in the first 17 minutes.
- They then proceeded to score just once the rest of the game, much to the chagrin of everyone who bet the under (6).
Tampa took a 3-1 lead over the Bruins less than 17 minutes into the first period. Over bettors might have already started counting their money, especially considering Game 2 reached 6 total goals in a game that was 2-1 late in the third period. With more than 43 minutes left in regulation, this one should at least hit 6 with ease, right?

Nope. Neither team would score again until a late Tampa empty-netter — leaving over bettors in absolute shock. That had to be torture for any over-backer who had to just watch, painfully, as the seconds ticked away with nothing ever finding the back of the net.
#NHLBruins drop Game 3 to the Lightning, 4-1.
Game 4 set for Friday night. B's trail the series, 2-1.
