Friday NHL Picks, Predictions: Two Total Edges to Take in Kings vs. Ducks and Coyotes vs. Golden Knights

There are some big-time matchups on Friday’s loaded NHL slate. Action Network’s NHL PRO projections have identified two totals on tonight’s slate with edges. This has been a great season in the NHL for overs, they are hitting at a 51.3% rate this season with a 403-382 record. Our PRO projections have picked a couple of overs tonight so let’s get right to them. Coyotes vs. Golden Knights 9:30 p.m. ET The second-best team in the Pacific Division meets the last-place team in the Central Division in this desert clash. The Knights currently sit four points back of the Flames in the Pacific with a 29-18-4 record. But they just recently got a massive boost offensively with Jack Eichel returning from injury and making his debut with the Knights last week. The Coyotes have rode the struggle bus for the majority of the season. They currently have the fewest points and the worst win percentage in the NHL. They will battle with the Canadiens and Kraken the rest of the season for the best odds in the draft lottery. Both teams are expected to start their backup goaltenders with Scott Wedgewood starting for the ‘Yotes and Laurent Brossoit starting for the Knights. Our PRO Projections has this total at at 6.41. That gives over 6 (-105) a 5.5% edge. PRO Report Pick: Over 6 Kings vs. Ducks 10 p.m. ET This is a fantastic matchup that could have massive playoff implications. The Kings sit in third in the Pacific Division but are just two points ahead of the fifth-place Ducks. Anaheim is tied for the second wild-card spot with the Oilers. The Pacific Division race and the wild-card race are both expected to come down to the wire which makes this a game we could be talking about in a couple of months. It’s also a rivalry game between to teams located in Southern California. Action Network projects this total at 6.48. That gives Over 5.5 (-118) a 7.2% edge and the biggest edge of the night.
