Tonight's NHL slate is loaded with 10 games, and I have three NHL anytime goalscorer picks for the evening's action.
Betting on NHL anytime goalscorers is simple enough: If your player scores a goal at any point in the game, your bet is a winner. MLB has its dingers; the NHL has its anytime goalscorers. And with both types of player props, the bets usually come with plus-money odds attached to them, so they're a favorite among all types of sports bettors.

Senators vs. Lightning

An Atlantic Division tilt kicks off Thursday's NHL slate with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Ottawa Senators. Ottawa has struggled recently, dropping four of its past five games.
A part of the reason for this lack of success is poor defensive play. At 5-on-5, the Senators rank in the bottom half of the league in expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60).
Not only does this team struggle defensively at even-strength, but the Senators are even worse on special teams, where they rank in the bottom six of the league in both penalty minutes taken per game and penalty kill percentage.
That bodes well for Tampa forward Steven Stamkos, who leads the team in power-play goals with 49% of his goals coming on the man-advantage this season. Stamkos enters this contest in dominant form, scoring in each of his past six games, including a hat trick performance against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday.

Senators vs. Lightning

I'm risking a half-unit on Stamkos to score along with another half-unit on his teammate Brayden Point.
I am fairly confident that at least one of these two guys will find the back of the net, which would guarantee a profit. And, if both score – all the better.
I've already discussed Ottawa's poor defensive play, and predictably, goaltender Joonas Korpisalo has struggled with it. Through 53 appearances this season, Korpisalo possesses a fade-worthy .891 SV% and 3.25 GAA.
With this combination of poor defense and goaltending, it's not shocking that the Senators rank in the bottom five of the league in goals allowed per game.
If anyone can take advantage, it is certainly Point, who has scored 19 goals over his past 23 games. Seven of those goals came on the man-advantage, which, as stated above, is likely to come into play tonight.
At least one of Stamkos or Point has scored in each of the Bolts' past 12 games in which they both played. They both scored in four of those 12 outings.
Pick: Brayden Point (+125)
Devils vs. Maple Leafs

Another Eastern Conference tilt in the early window of Thursday's NHL slate features the Toronto Maple Leafs hosting the New Jersey Devils. Goaltender Ilya Samsonov is slated to guard the cage for Toronto, and he should be a good fade candidate.
Through 38 starts between the pipes this season, Samsonov possesses a .895 SV% and 3.00 GAA. Making his job increasingly more difficult is the Leafs' woes on special teams, ranking in the bottom third of the league in both penalty minutes taken per game and penalty-kill percentage.
Enter Timo Meier, who leads New Jersey in power-play goals (when factoring out Jack Hughes, who is ruled out for this game). Now is the time to buy low on Meier after he has failed to score in each of his past four games.
He is the best scoring option on the Devils with Hughes out of the lineup, and I don't think this team only puts up two goals against the Leafs in consecutive games.
