Check out Tony Sartori's same-game parlay (SGP) for Rangers vs. Panthers as the hockey expert makes his NHL predictions for Game 4.

Game 4 of the hard-fought Eastern Conference Final will get underway on Tuesday at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida, with Rangers vs. Panthers (8 p.m. ET, ESPN & ESPN+).

The latest Rangers vs. Panthers odds have Florida priced as a heavy -176 favorite while the over/under is set at 5.5.

Find out how I am tackling Game 4 with a +286 SGP at FanDuel as I make a New York vs. Florida SGP pick and prediction for Tuesday.

NHL Predictions: SGP for Rangers vs. Panthers Game 4

My Rangers vs. Panthers same-game parlay for Game 4 is a three-legger and will focus on the total, the Panthers and a player prop.

The SGP's trio of bets includes:

  • Under 5.5 (-124)
  • Florida Panthers ML (-176)
  • Aleksander Barkov 1+ Points (-225)

Under 5.5

Game 3 saw nine total goals as both Igor Shesterkin and Sergei Bobrovsky surrendered four or more goals. Neither guy posted a SV% north of .892, and I just don't think that is sustainable for either of these top-tier netminders.

Prior to Game 3, Shesterkin allowed three or fewer goals in four consecutive starts. Even when you include Game 3's performance, Shesterkin still boasts a .915 SV% and 2.46 GAA over his past five games.

On the other hand, Bobrovsky has now allowed two or fewer goals in seven of his past eight games, going 5-1-2 over that stretch with a .916 SV% and 1.82 GAA. I want to buy back on the under after a surprisingly high-scoring affair in Game 3, especially considering that there were three total goals scored in each of the first two games of this series.

Florida Panthers ML

Florida should have won Game 3 and entered this game with a 2-1 series lead. Now, the Panthers' backs are against the wall, and they can't go down 3-1 before heading back to New York for Game 5.

That is exactly why Florida is such a heavy favorite in this game, and I agree with the oddsmakers that we should expect a bounce-back performance. The Panthers have been the better team both in this series and in the playoffs as a whole.

This postseason, they outrank the Rangers in expected goals for per 60 minutes (xGF/60), expected goals against per 60 minutes (xGA/60) and expected goal differential per 60 minutes. Add in home ice, and the only way New York breaks Florida's hearts once again is if Shesterkin stands on his head (which is certainly possible).

Aleksander Barkov 1+ Points

If we are backing the Panthers to win, then we obviously need some of their skaters to get on the scoresheet. Enter forward Aleksander Barkov.

In big-game moments, you have to trust your best guys to get the job done in a must-win game. To me, the most important three players on this team are Barkov, Matthew Tkachuk and Bobrovsky.

In terms of securing a point, I opt to go with Barkov. He registered a goal and an assist in Game 3, and he has now recorded 13 points over his past 10 games.

Barkov has also recorded 20 points over his past 20 games against New York, so even against the mighty Shesterkin, I think No. 16 will get it done when it matters most.
