Trevor Zegras had a really disappointing year last season with the Anaheim Ducks, seeing his shots per game drop from 2.34 in the three previous seasons to 1.7 in the last one. Even then, he beat this line roughly half the time (28 of 57 games).
With him being a year older, entering his age-24 season with a fresh start on a Flyers team playing with two strong teammates — Travis Konecny and Owen Tippett — and on the top power-play unit, I am expecting better things this season from this talented center.
Tonight, Zegras does have a bad matchup in an away game against the defending champions, but I still like the over.
