  • Team USA heads into the Women's World Cup Final as -275 favorites over Netherlands on Sunday (11 a.m. ET on FOX, Telemundo).
  • Our staff lists their favorite bets for tomorrow's anticipated matchup.

Team USA will play in its third consecutive Women’s World Cup Final on Sunday against the Netherlands and the red, white and blue are heavy favorites to win it all.

Our staff looks at the best bets for tomorrow's match.

John Ewing: USA -110 1st Half | USA -260

This bet is simple.

The Americans rank first in goals during the World Cup, first in expected goals, first in shots, first in shots on target, second in goals allowed, first in expected goals allowed, third in shots allowed and second in shots on target allowed.

The USWNT is dominating this tournament and already defeated two better opponents than the Netherlands in France and England. The USA are going to win a record fourth title on Sunday and I’m going to cash two bets.

Evan Abrams: USA To Score Both Halves (+140) | USA To Win Both Halves (+250) | Netherlands To Score 2 Goals or More (+430)

I am not here to count out Netherlands. The Dutch are 6-0 in the 2019 Women’s World Cup, outscoring their opponents 11-3 and they have not allowed a goal since the Round of 16 against Japan, shutting out both Italy and Sweden en route to the final.

If Netherlands is going to pull off the upset and be the second team in the last three World Cup’s to knock off the U.S. in the final, they are going to have to score goals (shocker, I know) — more importantly, more than a single goal.

I do not see the Dutch winning their second straight game 1-0, which would mean the Dutch to score two or more goals would be a hit for us. In Women’s World Cup history, the winner of the final has scored two goals or more in six of seven games — I think that continues Sunday.

One of the trends in the 2019 World Cup has been the United States’ ability to score early, specifically doing so in the 12th minute or earlier in all six matches.

Do I think they can strike early? Sure, but the Dutch haven’t allowed a goal earlier than the 43rd minute so far in this World Cup, so I think the U.S. will be in for a test that i do think they will solve.

Michael Leboff: Netherlands +750

Unfortunately for U.S. soccer fans it’s hard to argue against a payout like this in a final. The Yanks are clearly the best team in the world but these odds imply the Dutch have an 11.2% chance of winning this game in 90 minutes. That is a huge gulf between two teams in a World Cup Final.

The Americans are the more likely team to win this match. Their statistical portfolio is stronger, they have more talent and, if you value such things, they’ve been here before. But we aren’t here to discuss which team we think will win. We’re here to find the best value and it’s hard to argue against the number being offered on the Oranje around the market.

The Dutch have certainly been on the right side of a couple coin flips thus far — they escaped with a 2-1 win over Japan on a dicey handball and needed extra time to beat Sweden — but in the end sports are incredibly random and good fortune rules the day.

The Dutch are more than capable of keeping this thing close and nicking the upset.
