Marta Kostyuk has reached two semifinals at Grand Slams this season, but she's still looking for her first appearance in a final.
The Ukrainian has a shot at that goal on Thursday as she takes on Linda Noskova in the Wimbledon women's semis.

Kostyuk vs Noskova Betting Preview
Marta Kostyuk Preview
Though the 23-year-old Ukrainian had a very difficult task in front of her against Jasmine Paolini, Kostyuk passed this test with flying colors in a phenomenal straight-set victory.
Despite Paolini's unique skillset that boasts elite versatility in her shot selection — along with an unmatched all-court coverage game — Kostyuk never faltered in sticking to her own game plan.
I highlighted Kostyuk’s exceptional first serve as a massive factor for her path to victory. This was precisely her game plan, with the Ukrainian hitting 90% of her first serves.
While Paolini was far more aggressive against her previous opponents, Kostyuk overwhelmed the Italian, with Paolini hitting just eight winners, along with a shocking 26 unforced errors.
Paolini failed to record a single break point on Kostyuk’s service games, which was a massive contributing factor to the Ukrainian’s utter dominance.
Kostyuk has a far greater challenge ahead of her in the 21-year-old Czech Noskova, who implements a very similar style of play to that of Kostyuk (massive first serve and an equally aggressive approach).
Linda Noskova Preview
While Noskova was just a short favorite to prevail over quarterfinal foe Elise Mertens, the world No. 12 absolutely dismantled the Belgian in a 6-3, 7-5 final scoreline.
After a phenomenal grass swing that led to the Czech winning a singles title in Berlin, the 21-year-old was able to bring that momentum into London and quickly became quite comfortable on the slick ryegrass surface.
Like Kostyuk, Noskova boasts a top-tier first serve with an aggressive strike-first mentally.
In addition to her high-velocity first serve, her groundstrokes are extremely powerful and penetrating, with a flat ball-striking technique that slightly mirrors the Ukrainian's overall game plan whilst playing on fast surfaces.
Noskova has an elite backhand, as well, that she uses quite frequently, often charging the net to shorten points and force her opponents out of their respective comfort zones.
Her aggressive style fits quick surfaces to a tee.
Kostyuk vs Noskova Predictions, Betting Analysis
In a matchup featuring two young players who both rely heavily on the effectiveness of their first serves and an overall aggressive style of play, we could see fireworks on Thursday.
It'll be far more challenging for both players to implement their game plans with each of the two coming off a quarterfinal matchup versus an opponent that prefers to dictate rallies from the baseline.
While Noskova has been impressive over the last several weeks, Kostyuk is the more experienced of the two players, especially considering the Ukrainian just made a slam semifinal at Roland Garros this season.
Though Noskova's strike-first aggression in her return game can be very effective, I expect her to have far more challenging of a time in this one, especially given Kostyuk’s unstoppable first serve and exceptional court coverage.
While the Czech’s “rush the net” style has been quite effective, Kostyuk is less of a one-tricky pony.
I see far more paths to victory for Kostyuk, as she's the more athletic of the two players and has greater experience adapting her style of play whilst facing any form of adversity.
My premier betting angle is for Kostyuk to prevail and advance to her first Grand Slam final, but I expect a very difficult challenge in a match that should go the distance.
Thus, I feel great backing the over (22.5 games), largely due to the serves of both players.
If you're looking for more of a value play, I also favor taking a shot on the Ukrainian to win in three sets, which is currently listed at +275 on DraftKings.
Pick: Marta Kostyuk ML -130 | Over 22.5 | Kostyuk to Win 2-1 (+275, DraftKings)
