Two of the co-hosts are playing their second game on Thursday's slate, but first, Czechia starts things off against South Africa at noon ET in Atlanta, and Switzerland vs. Bosnia-Herzegovina takes place at 3:00 p.m. ET in Los Angeles. Then, Canada takes on Qatar at 6:00 p.m. ET in Vancouver, Canada, and Mexico and South Korea close out the day at 9:00 p.m. ET in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Let's get into our World Cup prop picks for Thursday, June 18.
World Cup Props for Thursday
South Africa vs Czechia Prop Picks
Despite his near-silent debut match against South Korea, Patrik Schick is bound to make some noise for Czechia at this World Cup after leading the team with five goals in the UEFA qualifiers.
Both teams have already lost, so the urgency will open up scoring opportunities, and Schick should be involved in Czechia's output today, with his team as the clear favorite.
Bosnia-Herzegovina vs Switzerland Prop Picks
Don't be fooled by Switzerland's 1-1 draw against Qatar in their first match. That should have been a beating, with 27 shots coming off the Swiss boots.
There's no guarantee their aim will improve versus Bosnia-Herzegovina, but Switzerland has shown offensive prowess, winning three of their four qualifying matches with three or more goals scored. So, banking on them to try hard again — with the stakes raised — is a strong option.
Qatar vs Canada Prop Picks
After a disappointing debut match, Canada will be pressed to make the most out of the weakest rival. After everyone in this group drew, both victories and goal differential became a necessity.
Against Bosnia-Herzegovina, the team had 13 shots, but only 3 were on goal. Expect the co-hosts to improve in that regard despite still missing Alphonso Davis. At +155, there's excellent value in backing them to win both halves in this game.
South Korea vs Mexico Prop Picks
This could be one of those games that depends a lot on how early a team scores. Caution might become the priority if no one has found the net late in the game, as four points total (both earned three on matchday one) should put these teams in the next round.
I don't think this will be the case, with Mexico needing to lead the group and South Korea willing to risk more as they'll face South Africa in the next match.
Mexico had 16 shots against South Africa — five on target — and will probably have around the same or close to this amount here.
Veteran Seung-Gyu Kim has plenty of World Cup experience, as this is his fourth, and he's coming off recording three saves against Czechia. You can find better value going up to four saves, but it might be better to stay with three as a parlay piece — combined with both teams to score — to get +200 at DraftKings.
