Arsenal will look to put a bow on their memorable season when they lock horns with Wolves on the final match day of the 2022-23 campaign at the Emirates.

The Gunners will be looking to bounce back from their two-game losing skid to Brighton and Nottingham Forest. A win will give them their 26th league victory. That is a feat the 2003-04 Invincibles and 2001-02 Premier League champion Gunners side have achieved.

Meanwhile, Wolves are entrenched in the bottom half of the table. However, a win on Sunday could boost them ahead of Chelsea and into as high as 11th place. Beating a top six club is always worthy of bragging rights for supporters.

Here is my breakdown of the Arsenal vs Wolves odds, and my pick for the Premier League match on Sunday.

Arsenal Can Dim the Bright Lights

Things did not end the way Arsenal wanted, as they held an eight-point lead over Man City in mid-January. However, they have the youngest squad in the Premier League, with an average age of 24.4, and that inexperience overwhelmed them when things got tight in the final weeks.

Still, this season is a huge success for manager Mikal Arteta and his side. They qualified for the Champions League, ending a six-year drought of missing out on one of the sport's most elite competitions. It was a tourney that seemed almost unimaginable not to have Arsenal in it at one point in history, with the Gunners qualifying for the European competition a record-setting 19 seasons in a row between 1998 and 2017.

Now that all the pressure is behind Arsenal, they can return to playing the high-quality soccer we saw earlier in the season. The Gunners have won just two of the last eight league games, but before the lights got too bright they won seven successive matches with a differential of +17.

Moreover, the North London side has won all their season finales under Mikal Arteta, including last season when they defeated Everton 5-1.

Wolves Lack Clarity For the Future

Wolves overcame their relegation form in the first half of the season thanks to the new managerial leadership of Julen Lopetegui. The Spaniard claimed their top division survival to be his "greatest achievement."

Perhaps he is basking in the accomplishment that much because he believes he's already reached his peak as the Wanderers' head coach. Lopetegui is uncertain about his future at Molineaux after recent uncertainty about the club's financial situation and how it could hamper their summer spending.

And while Wolves did see positive results in 13 of their 22 games under Lopetegui, they will certainly need to revamp the squad – especially offensively if they are to overcame the problems they faced this season.  Wolves have scored the fewest goals in the league heading into the final match day with 31.

They lack creativity up front, and that flaw is exposed even greater on the road. Wolves have scored just 12 goals outside of their home stadium and have a -21 goal difference on the road.

Arsenal vs Wolves Pick

These teams are heading in opposite directions come the offseason. Arsenal are already resigning star players and building confidence for next season. Earlier this week, Bukayo Saka signed a contract extension to stay with the club till 2027. Meanwhile, Wolves are unsure if they will still have the same coach they hired 22 league matches ago.

Also, I mentioned that Arsenal have finished the season strong in recent years. That is not the case with Wolves, as they have lost their last five consecutive final-day matches.

Expect Arsenal to close out their impressive season on a high note in front of their home fans and take care of business against a Wolves team that is worrying about Financial Fair Play.

Back the Gunners on the spread.

Pick: Arsenal -1 (-110 via bet365)
