USC Player Prop: King Miller 60+ Rushing Yds
For the first leg of our same-game parlay for Saturday night’s Big Ten showdown, let's target Southern California’s leading rusher, King Miller.
Despite Wisconsin boasting an elite defensive unit that has allowed its first six opponents just 16.7 points per game, the Badgers’ front seven is not as efficient when it comes to containing opposing rushers.
Though the Badgers are typically renowned for their overwhelming size in the trenches, head coach Luke Fickell’s bunch has been quite vulnerable when matched up against elite running backs. Miller fits the bill.
Wisconsin’s defense has allowed opposing rushers over 152 yards per game, which could prove fatal against a player of Miller's caliber. He ranks 23rd in the country with 595 yards on the ground heading into Week 8.
Though, on the contrary, the Badgers boast an elite secondary that ranks inside the top 20 in all of college football in both EPA Per Pass allowed (10th) and Passing Success Rate allowed (19th).
For a Lincoln Riley offense that relies heavily on the superb play of star quarterback Jayden Maiava, expect the Trojans to slightly change course by giving Miller far more volume out of the backfield.
Feel confident backing Miller to record at least 60 rushing yards (-178) in what should provide a solid foundation for our SGP on Saturday night.
Spread Pick: Wisconsin Alt. +10.5
For the back end of our Saturday SGP, we're backing the Badgers at an extremely steep alternate line of 10.5, which has a -364 price at DraftKings.
USC is coming off consecutive victories over Washington and Penn State, both of which went down to the wire.
However, the primary concern for Riley’s Trojans is that they must play both Ohio State and Indiana in back-to-back contests following their Week 8 clash with Wisconsin.
The Badgers are coming off a disappointing defeat to an extremely well-coached UCLA team and now return home with a ton of motivation.
Camp Randall Stadium in Madison is a notoriously difficult venue to escape with an outright victory, and while USC has proven it's battle-tested on the road, it would be very surprising if this game doesn't come down to the final few minutes.
The Trojans are far more comfortable relying on their explosive offense to win football games, and I don't envision Riley’s bunch being able to put up its typical 30-point performances against a Badger defense that ranks 24th in the country in opponent PPG at 16.7.
While we're playing it safe by backing the Badgers at an extremely steep alternate number, don't be surprised if Wisconsin wins outright in what should be a very hostile environment in Madison.
You can back my two-leg SGP for Saturday night at +104 at DraftKings.
