Red Sox vs. Braves Odds & Betting Predictions - May 30, 2025

Took this bet on Novig Big bullpen play here with the Braves coming off a doubleheader yesterday, and will really need a quality start here from Holmes. The Braves used 7 bullpen arms yesterday, so they will try and leave Holmes in a little longer than they might have any other day. Holmes has strung together some quality starts of late, going over this line in 3 straight games and 4/L5. He just faced this Red Sox team and went over this line, giving up 3 hits and 2 runs with 5 Ks. Something to note here is how favored the books have his strikeout line. At -160 and higher, the books expect him to rack up Ks in this one, which is good for us in the outs department. The only thing with heavy K pitchers is the PC, but again, I am not too worried today with how stressed the bullpen is. He would have to really lose it today for them to pull him early imo and even then they might say screw it and leave him in there to preserve arms, like we saw with the Orioles and Eflin a few weeks back. With only 3 guys recording a hit against him in their last meeting and him continuing to go deep into games, I like our chances for him to go 6 IP today, especially with the state of the BP.
