MLB Home Run Picks for May 30

Lawrence Butler (+500)
at Blue Jays (SP: RHP Chris Bassitt)

We never really know which Chris Bassitt we're going to get on a given day — he either dominates or give up a ton of home runs. I'm taking my chances on the latter today.
Bassitt has been one of the best matchups for left-handed power hitters over the last few seasons; he still has a tendency to throw out the occasional meatball this season.
Lawrence Butler is a good hitter and he has shown some solid pop this season.
I have the true odds around +425.

Pete Alonso (+325)
vs. Rockies (SP: LHP Kyle Freeland)

I wish the odds were a little higher, but the spot here is too good to pass up.
The weather is decent over in New York and we have a matchup featuring Pete Alonso and a subpar left-hander in Kyle Freeland.
Freeland has been crushed this season and while he is due for some positive regression, he's also due for some large negative regression for HRs.
The Rockies' bullpen behind him is pretty bad and Alonso's underlying power numbers have been the best of his career this season.
I have the true odds around +275.

Marcell Ozuna (+400)
vs Red Sox (SP: RHP Lucas Giolito)

Red Sox right-hander Giolito has been hit pretty hard this season and he has been a gas can for righty power in his career (1.63 HR/9).
The weather over in Atlanta is good with temperatures in the mid 70s and wind blowing out to left-center field at 12mph.
Marcell Ozuna hasn't been great this season, but his underlying numbers are still good and there's some decent value on this bet given the spot.

Ronald Acuna Jr. (+350)
vs Red Sox (SP: RHP Lucas Giolito)

Ronald Acuna Jr. has been great since coming back from injury — slashing .318/.400/.682 with two home runs in six games — and the spot is fantastic today.
Giolito has been a big reverse-splits pitcher over his career, allowing 1.6 HR/9.
I have the true odds on Acuna around +300 today.
