After a thrilling 6-2 win over the Houston Astros in Game 7 of the World Series, the Washington Nationals are your 2019 World Champions. But this is sports betting, so we're already looking forward to next season.

Despite falling just short against the Nats this October, the Houston Astros were installed as the betting favorites to win the 2020 World Series at +400 ($100 bet would win $400). The Nationals have the fifth-shortest odds on the board at +1000.

In between Houston and Washington are some familiar teams.

For much of 2019, the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees were right there with Houston and that is the case heading into the winter. The Dodgers are the second favorites at +450 with the Yankees right behind them at +600.

Oddsmakers are expecting a bounce-back season from the Red Sox, who boast the fourth-shortest odds at +900.

At the opposite end of the table are the three biggest longshots. The Detroit Tigers, Miami Marlins, Baltimore Orioles and Kansas City Royals all share the dubious distinction of having the longest odds to win the World Series at 200-1.

Those four teams have plenty of company as there are four teams with odds of 100-1: Seattle, Toronto, Pittsburgh and San Francisco.
