Kenny Ducey’s Diamondbacks vs Dodgers Prediction, Betting Analysis
While Rodriguez has had an overall tough time this season, things have been looking up of late. His xSLG has mercifully dipped below .400 this month, and he's getting closer to a fully-blossomed fly-ball arm. The Dodgers and their overwhelming power numbers should stand a good chance of landing a couple of big blows here, but it's ultimately not enough to move me off the Under here.
Glasnow's excellence in the strikeout department continues, and his numbers have only been weighed down by another bloated walk rate. Arizona is walking in under 8% of plate appearances over the last two weeks and striking out over 26% of the time, and with a contact-first approach, that's the last thing you want. The Diamondbacks and their meek .158 ISO in the last two weeks shouldn't stand much of a chance here to bother Glasnow if the ball does go back into play, and with some marginal improvements out of Rodriguez, we should get home.
