Why the public loves Philadelphia: The Phillies have been a nice surprise for bettors so far this season. At 23-16, they're the 10th-most profitable team in the league. Baltimore, on the other hand, has lost 13.7 units for bettors thus far, more than any other team in baseball.

Boston Red Sox (-185) vs. Oakland Athletics

For the second night in a row, the Red Sox are the most popular baseball play on the board. Boston has received 77% of bets, but those account for just 54% of dollars, which has maintained the -185 line.

Why the public loves Boston: The A's took the first game of this series last night, and a public bettor sees no way that the 28-13 Red Sox can drop two in a row.

Cleveland Cavaliers-Boston Celtics Over 203.5

8:30 p.m. ET

This is going to be the most heavily bet game in sports tonight, which makes it an even more public play, as 84% of bettors have taken the over. Eighty-nine percent of money is also on the over, and the total has gone up a point from its opening number.

Why the public loves the over: Since this game is drawing more public bettors, many are likely basing their bet solely off the low total. Others are probably looking at Cleveland's lack of offensive output in Game 1 and assuming that has to change tonight.
