Orioles vs Rangers Projected Starting Pitchers

Orioles vs Rangers MLB Betting Preview

First off, both Texas and Baltimore struggle offensively against lefties — Texas ranks 27th and Baltimore sits 26th, sitting roughly 26% below the MLB average in that department.

Now, over the last 30 days, things have picked up slightly: Texas moved to 22nd and Baltimore to 14th, but neither team has flipped their script enough to call this a strength. They’re still in their weaker offensive split facing left-handers.

It's also worth noting that Texas’ strong defense plays a key role. The Rangers have been the best “under” team in baseball this year, going 54-29-1 to the under for a 65% win rate with an impressive ROI near 25%.

At home, they've gone 30-12 to the under for a 71% win rate and a 37% ROI.

Plus, Globe Life Park hasn't been an offensive paradise this year. It ranks dead last (30th) in runs scored and 29th in home run rate.

The bullpens have also been pitching better recently. Baltimore’s bullpen was expected to be solid, but Texas was a bit of a mystery. Over the past month, though, Texas ranks eighth in expected FIP and seventh in strikeout minus walk rate, while Baltimore sits third in both.

As for the starters, the park factors come into play. Globe Life Park held steady in recent seasons with about a 3% reduction in run scoring when the dome is closed, which should be the case here. When it's opened, it flips to around a 4% bump in scoring, about a 7% swing overall.

Orioles vs Rangers Pick, Betting Analysis

Putting it all together, with both teams struggling offensively against lefties, strong bullpens, solid defense from Texas and the run suppression at Globe Life, I like under 8.5 runs to -112 here.

My projection stands around 7.9 total runs, which fits right into that under range.

Don’t expect a slugfest at Globe Life on Monday night. It’s shaping up to be a game where pitching and defense keep the score low.

Pick: Under 8.5 (-110)

Moneyline

I don't have a bet on the moneyline for Monday's Orioles vs. Rangers game.

Run Line (Spread)

Like the moneyline, I'm staying away from the run line on Monday.

Over/Under

My best bet for this game is for both teams to go under the total. Both teams are in their worse offensive split here, and Globe Life Field has been a great place for unders this season.
