Brewers vs Dodgers MLB Betting Preview
The Brew Crew are due to get right on this West Coast trip after being swept by the Padres.
Milwaukee totaled just seven runs over three games against San Diego, and the change of scenery to Chavez Ravine may be just what they need.
The Brewers have been one of the toughest lineups in the big league circuit against right-handed pitching. They are fifth in wRC+ and second in BABIP against them while holding an above-average hard-hit rate.
The key to their success offensively has been their discipline. They hold the lowest chase rate in the majors against righties and the third-lowest swinging strike rate.
They make opposing pitchers work and have shown they can do damage with mistakes.
Tonight, against Roki Sasaki, they profile for success as he still has some flaws that such a lineup can capitalize on.
As I alluded to above, Roki Sasaki has finally appeared to put it all together for the first time in a Dodgers uniform. He's one of the biggest candidates for positive regression, as his 4.01 xFIP tells a much better story of how effective his stuff has been than his season ERA of 4.54.
Over his last five outings, Sasaki has posted a 2.40 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP, and his CSW has been elite at 32.8 percent. However, I'm still not sold on the idea that his command issues are a thing of the past.
His zone rate is still just 45.7% overall in his last five starts, and his first-pitch strike rate for the season is still below average at 60.8%. We know that Milwaukee is as disciplined as it gets at the dish, and this will be their second time seeing him this year.
Sasaki tossed five innings against them back in May, allowing three runs on four hits and walking two. It will be interesting to see if the Brewers' approach changes given Sasaki's recent success.

Brewers vs Dodgers Pick, Betting Analysis
This is a sell-high spot on Sasaki tonight. Yes, it's nice to see him realize some of the potential that made him such a coveted signing, but this Brewers lineup is too stingy and will be a real barometer for his progression.
It's likely we'll see an outing from him similar to the last time he faced Milwaukee. The Brewers are due to get back on track offensively, and they will make Sasaki battle.
With the Dodgers bullpen fully rested, his leash won't be long if there is traffic in the middle innings.
Fade Sasaki tonight.
