Rangers vs Twins MLB Betting Preview

Emmanuel Rodriguez to draw a walk at +280 on bet365 is the best price on the board. You can also get +195 at DraftKings, and I like it down to +180.
He’s facing Jacob deGrom, so it isn't a great matchup by any means, but this is more about Rodriguez himself than anything else. He’s only played 12 games in the majors so far this year (44 plate appearances) and holds just a ~7% walk rate.
However, if you look at his minor league profile, he posted near or over 20% walk rates at every single level. Furthermore, every major system on FanGraphs projects him for a walk rate over 10%—THE BAT X is actually the lowest at 11.8%, while ZiPS and OOPSY are both near 15%.
This is a player we should expect to draw far more walks than he has so far in his brief big-league action, and it feels like sportsbooks are missing that.
Pick: Emmanuel Rodriguez Over 0.5 Hitter Walks (+280; Play Down to +180)
