Milwaukee swept the two-time defending champion Dodgers 4-0 in the NLCS, finishing Thursday with a 6-4 comeback win: the Brewers’ first World Series trip since 1982. Tampa Bay needed 6 games to beat the Guardians in the ALCS, closing it out Monday with a 7-3 win that sends the Rays back to the Fall Classic for the first time since 2020. Game 1 is Friday, Oct. 23, at American Family Field in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee Brewers World Series Odds After Sweeping the Dodgers

On Polymarket, the Brewers sit at 62.2% to win it all; Kalshi’s “Pro Baseball Champion” contract has them at 62.1%. Both numbers reflect a climb that sped up once the sweep became final.

Milwaukee’s bullpen held the Dodgers quiet for long stretches after Shohei Ohtani’s early home run in Game 4, and Garrett Mitchell’s go-ahead shot in the sixth put the Brewers in front for good. Jake Bauers, who drove in 6 runs across the series, took home NLCS MVP honors. Manager Pat Murphy summed it up: “We weren’t coming in to play patty-cake.”

Tampa Bay Rays World Series Odds After a Six-Game ALCS

The Rays’ path was bumpier. Cleveland rallied from an early deficit to steal Game 1 at Tropicana Field, 7-3, then took a series lead with a 3-2 Game 3 win. Tampa Bay answered with three straight to close it out at home in Game 6. Freddy Peralta threw 5 1/3 innings in the clincher and earned ALCS MVP, while Junior Caminero and Yandy Díaz each hit two-run homers in the 7-3 win.

Polymarket has the Rays at 37.6% to win the World Series, and Kalshi has them at 38%: trailing Milwaukee but still live. Manager Kevin Cash kept it simple before the deciding game: “We got one more bite!”

How World Series Prediction Market Odds Shifted All Postseason

The path to a confirmed Brewers-Rays market shows how fast these prices move once results replace speculation.

  • In August, with the field wide open, Kalshi had the Dodgers near 38%, Milwaukee around 9%, and Tampa Bay near 6%.
  • Entering the Division Series in October, Los Angeles had settled near 30%, Milwaukee had climbed to 17%, and Tampa Bay sat near 9%.
  • With four teams left ahead of the Championship Series round, the Dodgers still led at roughly 44%, the Brewers at 24%, and the Rays close behind at 23%.
  • Now that the matchup is final, the Dodgers are off the board, and the Brewers vs. Rays split sits at roughly 62-38% on both platforms.

The favorite with the biggest name lost ground step by step as the games themselves settled the question.

Why Prediction Markets Favor the Brewers to Win It All

Milwaukee doesn’t carry the national following of a Dodgers or Yankees team, so casual fans might be surprised the Brewers are the clear favorite. The market it’s pricing a 103-59 record, the best in the majors, which also earns Milwaukee home-field advantage for the whole series. The gap between Milwaukee’s price and its public profile makes more sense: traders are pricing the team that’s actually been winning.
