Brewers vs Dodgers MLB Betting Preview
The Brewers took a 3-0 series stranglehold with another highly impressive performance Wednesday night. For all the talk about Milwaukee's ability to generate runs with small ball and create havoc on the basepaths, it has slugged .458 in the series, and outhomered the Dodgers five-to-nothing.
Whether the outcome has been extra bases or simply advancing a runner, the Brewers lineup has had plenty of lengthy, relentless at-bats versus elite pitchers this postseason. We've reached the point where a portion of baseball observers are beginning to question if something fishy is going on, though it's highly possible that those takes are incorrect, and it is perfectly legal for baserunners to convey information on pitches.
Despite facing high-caliber pitching throughout the postseason, Milwaukee has maintained an elite 0.55 BB/K ratio and a .331 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA). The Brewers also finished tied with the Dodgers for the highest wRC+ against right-handed pitching during the regular season, so it's certainly strength-on-strength as they take on a well rested Tyler Glasnow.
The Brewers bullpen has been entirely dominant this postseason, as across 28 and 2/3 innings Milwaukee's relievers have pitched to an ERA of 0.31 with a 2.49 xERA and a Pitching+ rating of 113. They will look to lean on that strength in this matchup, which will likely be opened by Shane Drohan and potentially feature Dustin May in bulk relief.
Los Angeles left nine runners on base in Game 3, and was ultimately unable to come through with any power with RISP. The Dodgers have slugged just .187 in the series, and have been fairly snake-bitten on hard-hit balls in play, though obviously the strength of the Brewers outfield is an important caveat to that.
Since returning from the IL (back spasms) on August 25th, Glasnow has pitched to an ERA of 4.15 across 39 innings (including his NLCS start versus the Braves), with a WHIP of 1.10. His Stuff+ rating has dipped considerably to 98 in that span, and he walked five batters and was hard-hit 40% of the time in his NLDS start versus Atlanta.

Brewers vs Dodgers Pick, Betting Analysis
Though Glasnow does offer a decisive edge over many of the arms the Brewers may use in this matchup, his stuff has not been graded at its usual level in the time since he returned from the IL, and Pat Murphy should still be able to piece together some tough matchups for the Dodgers' slumping lineup in this matchup.
The Brewers have hit elite pitching extremely well this postseason, as numerous batters have consistently fought off tough pitches and eventually worked favorable outcomes at the plate. A price of +132 seems long enough to look past the Brewers' pitching concerns and back the side that simply seems to be playing better baseball in the series.
Pick: Brewers Moneyline +132 (FanDuel, Play to +128)
