RotoGrinders projections have JJJ projected for 7 RA over 32 minutes, which is a fair projection that I’m aligned with. He’s averaged 7 RA per game in his career and averaged 7.6 RA per game last season. With Ja Morant healthy to be the primary ball-handler, Jock Landale signed and the emergence of Santi Aldama as a solid rotation piece, I’m hoping JJJ takes a shoot-first mentality to make up for Desmond Bane’s departure while the teammates around him worry about distributing and rebounding.
Also worth noting is JJJ had offseason toe surgery and played just 22 and 26 minutes in his two preseason games. If he’s not fully stretched out just yet that would benefit us.
