Nets vs 76ers NBA Preview
Joel Embiid over 22.5 points is the play here. This is a spot I really like for him against the Nets. His minutes have slowly started to creep up for the Sixers lately, which is important.
When he first came back, he was playing around 20 minutes, then 23, then 25. Over the last few games, we’ve seen that number increase to 30, 32, and then back to 30 minutes.
I don’t think we’re going to see what we saw last season in terms of him playing in the mid-30s or upper-30s minutes just yet, but I do think he has a pretty solid 30-minute floor right now, which is awesome for him.
Now he gets this matchup against a Nets team that has been getting absolutely roasted by centers. Anthony Davis went over his points prop against them. Karl-Anthony Towns destroyed his points prop in two different games against the Nets this season.
We also saw Victor Wembanyama crush his points prop against Brooklyn.
Nets vs 76ers Prediction, Betting Analysis
This Nets team has really struggled to defend the interior. They’re allowing a ton of points at the rim and in the paint, and that’s exactly where Embiid does most of his work.
Because of that, I really like this spot for him, and over 22.5 points feels a little light given the matchup.
Both of these teams, especially Brooklyn, tend to play at a slightly slower pace, which can bring the scoring down a bit.
Even so, the matchup is excellent for Embiid, and I’m comfortable taking him to go over 22.5 points.
