Let's get into my Heat vs. Warriors predictions and NBA picks for Thursday, November 5.

Heat vs Warriors NBA Preview

In their last game, the Heat played well past 10 p.m. Pacific Time in a 117-116 winning effort against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Still on their West Coast road trip, with multiple games remaining, Miami is now on the second leg of what became a more unforgiving back-to-back the minute their contest went to overtime last night.

Now they'll face the Warriors, who started the season miserably but have since strung together five straight wins, with Rookie of the Year favorite Yaxel Lendeborg leading their frontcourt.

The Heat, at 3-5, really need to stack wins, but after an overtime game less than 24 hours ago and on the road against one of the league's hottest teams, it'll be very difficult.

Let's talk injuries.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (wrist) was listed as probable on the injury report but played last night.

Dru Smith (facial laceration) was listed as available, but did not play.

Kristaps Porzingis (payments?) is still out and might never play for the Warriors (or anyone?) in the NBA again.

Gui Santos (knee) remains out, as do Jimmy Butler (knee) and Moses Moody (knee), who have long-term injuries and will sit until later this season at best.

Heat vs Warriors Pick, Betting Analysis

Klay Thompson has been awesome for a three-game stretch, scoring 30, 19, and 25 points while shooting 8-of-17, 4-of-7, and 7-of-12 from three, in reverse order.

We'll give Thompson over 3.5 threes a shot at plus money.

He's getting the attempts; Miami needs his shooting because he's the team's main shooter right now, aside from Davion Mitchell, who has 40% from deep on five attempts per game.

Thompson is now 44% this season. He's expected to play, and — of course — it's a revenge spot. The Heat forward is averaging north of 17 points per game in Golden State since leaving for Dallas in 2024, making 17-for-34 across four games.

Pick: Klay Thompson Over 3.5 Threes (+120, BetMGM)
