NBA Spot Tracker: Daily Betting Trends, Prop Angles, Public Action & More article feature image

The Action Network NBA betting primer is making its debut for the 2026-27 season, and this year it’s built around one question: what’s the spot?

Before we tip off, a word on the format. The daily article will always live here, at this link, and the tool below updates on its own: lines refresh every hour, results and records refresh every night.

Every record you see is a real count from the database, with the league-wide rate shown next to it so you can judge it yourself. Here’s a preview of the tabs. You can find more information by tapping the question mark in the upper-right corner of each one:

Today’s Slate — Every game with live lines, openers, and both teams’ records entering the night. Each side shows its strongest angles for the spot it’s in: rest, schedule, travel, line moves, form. Tap Game triggers to open the full evidence, and Prop trends to see which player-prop spots fire for that game and the players on the board.

Angles — Every angle firing today, ranked by strength and grouped by game, plus the schedule, rest, and travel spots already known for the next seven days. Filter by group, trigger, or market.

Public — Where the tickets and money are landing on every spread, moneyline, and total, with a sharp-money view that shows where the dollars outrun the bets.

Props — Player props, two ways. Trends by situation shows how props play out in each spot league-wide (back-to-backs, big rest edges, total moves, and more), against the blind rate for that market and priced at FanDuel odds. By prop type lets you search any player or position and see his history in those spots. Every record is from graded DraftKings and FanDuel props since 2023-24.

Angle Library — The league-wide angles that clear the bar, with records by window going back to 2005, so you can see whether an edge is this season’s story or a 20-year one.

A note on how to read it: a team’s record in a spot is always shown with the league’s record in the same spot. “Celtics 4-17 to the over in matinee tips” means more when you can see that the whole league goes under in them too, and less when it doesn’t. Small samples are flagged as spots, not angles. The tool shows you the numbers; it doesn’t tell you what to bet.
