Timberwolves vs Raptors NBA Preview
On Monday night, the Timberwolves fell in Memphis, snapping a four-game winning streak in the process.
Anthony Edwards and Julius Randle were both questionable for Monday's game (and they are again tonight), but they combined for 58 of Minnesota's 128 points.
Offensively, they did more than enough to win, knocking down 16 threes and committing just nine turnovers.
However, the Wolves did not bring it defensively as Memphis shot 50% from the field and knocked down 19 threes en route to a nine-point victory.
It was a far cry from the four-game winning streak in which the Timberwolves allowed 103.2 points per game.
Minnesota ranks seventh in defensive rating this season, and it will look to re-establish its defensive identity tonight in Toronto.
Meanwhile, the Raptors dropped a pair of games to the Knicks and Magic before returning home to defeat the Jazz.
However, with a seven-point victory, the Raptors did not cover for their third straight ATS loss.
Toronto's scoring depth showed once again as they had five players in double figures, led by RJ Barrett's 21 points and six rebounds.
The Raptors enter tonight's game tied for fourth place in the Eastern Conference with Cleveland, which just acquired James Harden.
Toronto's front office may not be resting on its laurels either, as the Raptors look to snap a three-year playoff drought. Despite being nine games above .500, the Raptors rank 21st in offensive rating.
Toronto has been linked to Sacramento's playmaking center and three-time All-Star Domantas Sabonis, presumably to pair with Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes.
However, Sabonis is not regarded as a strong defensive center, which could cause the Raptors to slip from their top-five ranking in defensive rating.
After several trades yesterday, both teams could look different by tipoff, as Minnesota has been trying to lure Giannis Antetokounmpo out of Milwaukee.
Timberwolves vs Raptors Predictions, Betting Analysis
Julius Randle Over 11.5 Rebounds & Assists
Randle has always played well against the Raptors, and his time with the Knicks certainly did not make him very well-liked in Toronto.
In 24 career games against the Raptors, Randle is averaging 20.8 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.
In his last 15 games against the Raptors, Randle has had 12 rebounds and assists in 14 of those games for a 93.3% hit rate.
In the lone game he missed, he still finished with 11 RA.
He enters tonight's game with 14 and 16 RA in his last two games.
If he is a go tonight, I like him to get at least 12, as he is averaging 12.3 RA this season.

RJ Barrett 20+ Points & Rebounds
His former teammate, Barrett, may be back to his regular minutes, having played 28 minutes in each of his last two games.
Over his last 10 games, Barrett has nine games with 14 points and nine games with four rebounds.
As a result, he has recorded 20+ PR in eight of his last 10 games.
He has had 20 PR in his last two games against Minnesota, with 31 points and seven rebounds in his last game against them.

Jaden McDaniels Over 1.5 Three Pointers Made
The Raptors do a great job guarding the 3-point line overall, but they are 19th in 3-pointers allowed to small forwards.
That should benefit Jaden McDaniels, who comes into this game hot.
He is averaging 16.7 points over his last 10 games while 62.5% from behind the arc.
McDaniels has made two 3s in seven of his last 10 games, including five against the Thunder and Grizzlies.

Rudy Gobert 10+ Rebounds
The Raptors are also 19th in rebounds allowed to centers, as they are undersized in the frontcourt without Jakob Poeltl.
Rudy Gobert has had 10 rebounds in eight of his last 10 games and has pulled down 11 or more in his last four games against Toronto.
