Brooklyn Nets Betting Preview

The Nets finished the 2025-2026 season with a 20-62 record, good enough for third-worst in the country. However, they are off to the races this preseason, opening up with three wins and no losses. Over this stretch, Brooklyn is winning by over 16 points on average, and is dominating near the basket. The Nets have averaged 48 points in the paint to their opponents' 35.

Against Washington on Monday, Michael Porter Jr. led the way for Brooklyn with 22 points. Three other Nets scored 15+ points, and Julius Randle added 14 points, four rebounds, and nine assists. The offense is firing on all cylinders, a good look entering the team's final preseason contest.

Miami Heat Betting Preview

Miami has earned two wins and one loss this preseason, comfortably beating the Raptors and Pelicans before falling on Saturday to the Timberwolves. In that 124-125 loss to Minnesota, the Heat were without Bam Adebayo, Klay Thompson, and Giannis Antetokounmpo. With those three still day-to-day, keep an eye out for significant movement as tipoff approaches.

In absence of the big three, Ryan Conwell did everything to keep the game close. In 32 minutes of play, Conwell tallied 22 points, five rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. Vladislav Goldin added 18 points and six rebounds. The Heat were able to stay within one point of a quality team like the Wolves (even without their stars), so expect them to keep this game competitive start to finish.

Nets vs Heat Pick, Betting Analysis

Evan Abrams' Key Dogs, No Pedigree system isolates an edge in the preseason by identifying underdogs without a winning pedigree. Regular season reputation often carries more weight in the market than it does in true exhibition games.

This system backs teams getting at least four points after finishing the previous season with fewer than 50 wins, targeting teams the market views as clearly inferior. With uncertain rotations, limited starter minutes, and greater emphasis on player evaluation, preseason conditions can compress the talent gap. This gives overlooked underdogs a better chance to keep the game close and cover the spread.

The Nets only managed 20 wins last season, qualifying them for this system. The spread sits at a favorable +8.5 points while the system projects a gap of four or fewer. With the jury still out on Adebayo, Thompson, and Antetokounmpo's presence in tonight's game, the undefeated preseason Nets are an ideal pick tonight.

Pick: Nets +8.5 (-118)
