Kings vs Cavaliers NBA Preview

The Cavaliers, at 25-20, are fifth in the Eastern Conference, and despite all their struggles, they're just three games out of the two seed, where the Celtics currently sit.

The Cavaliers have won 8 of 12 and are playing three of their next four games at home before embarking on a West Coast road trip.

This will also be the first of a back-to-back, as Cleveland will be in Orlando on Saturday night.

The Kings recently had a four-game winning streak, their best stretch of the season, and they also got Domantas Sabonis back in the lineup — but now they're on a three-game skid.

Sacramento is starting a six-game East Coast road swing, a fairly brutal stretch at that, as they'll see Cleveland, Detroit, New York, Philly and Boston over an eight-day span, ending the trip in Washington on Feb. 1.

The Kings will be without Keegan Murray (ankle) for this game.

The Cavs have Darius Garland (toe), Sam Merrill (hand) and Max Strus (foot) out.

Kings vs Cavaliers Prediction, Betting Analysis

Donovan Mitchell has actually gone Under 28.5 points in 1-of-6 and in three straight. He hasn't gone under in four straight this season.

This, to me, feels like a slight buy low on an electric scorer who is slumping and heading into a soft defense.

The Kings are bottom four in defense, Mitchell is shooting 39% across these last six games, but is obviously too good to continue this slide, especially with Sacramento at home on the horizon.

Pick: Donovan Mitchell Over 28.5 Points (-115, bet365)
