The Wizards take on the Celtics in Boston in the Eastern Conference play-in game. Washington has been on an incredible late-season run, going 17-9 since April 1.

Russell Westbrook became the triple-double king, Bradley Beal valiantly fought for a scoring title and came up just short, and the Wizards gave themselves a shot at the seventh seed and a first-round matchup with the Nets.

It's fair to say that in terms of momentum, everything is swinging Washington's way these days.

For Boston, the momentum has all but faded.  Jaylen Brown is out for the year due to a wrist injury and subsequent surgery. He was the Celtics' second-leading scorer, putting up a career-high 24.7 points per game.

What makes the injury especially tough for Boston is the fact that Brown was the team's leading scorer against the Wizards.

In the absence of Brown, a tremendous amount of defensive attention will be on Jayson Tatum. Thankfully for Boston head coach Brad Stevens and Co., Tatum has turned into quite the playmaker this year.

Tatum is posting a career-best 19.6% assist rate, which ranks in the 91st percentile among forwards per Cleaning The Glass.

He will need to use the attention he draws to create easy looks for Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier, a duo that combined for only 32.3 PPG in the regular season.

So which team is the smarter bet on Tuesday night?

The following PRO betting system with a 62% against-the-spread (ATS) win rate provides the answer.
