It’s a quiet night in college baseball, but we have a high density of terrific games.
The Clemson Tigers take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in an ACC college baseball battle at 6:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, April 1. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.
Both teams enter at -115 on the moneyline, but Wake Forest comes in as the favorite on the run line at -1.5 (+150). Clemson, meanwhile, is +1.5 (-195) on the run line. The over/under sits at 13 total runs.
Here are my college baseball picks and Clemson vs. Wake Forest predictions for Wednesday, April 1.

Clemson vs Wake Forest Prediction
Clemson’s on a slide, and it hasn't been broken by midweek matchups. The Tigers have lost nine of their last 13 games, including Tuesday’s stint against Coastal Carolina.
Clemson burned nine arms in that 11-9 loss. In previous midweek games, Clemson managed just three runs against Charleston and one against Georgia Southern.
This is Wake Forest’s second game of a back-to-back. Last night, it dropped a 1-0 pitcher’s duel to High Point.
We’ll probably end up seeing a committee vs. committee matchup on the mound, but I trust Wake’s bats (114 wRC+) over Clemson’s (104 wRC+), especially at home.
Javar Williams and Dalton Wentz are about as good a duo as you’ll find in the ACC, both holding an OPS over 1.000. Luke Costello has cooled down from his scorching start, but he’s still a viable threat at the plate at all times.
While this is far from the Demon Deacons of about a half-decade ago, Wake has managed to navigate a brutal schedule; it's a team I’m looking to buy.
Six of the Deacs' eight losses since March 10 came against the top 12 teams nationally, per Diamond Sports Rating (top 13, per RPI and top 18, per Massey).
It’s expected to be a pristine night in Winston-Salem, and I’m looking to back Wake at home — a place it's 15-4 at so far this year.
Pick: Wake Forest ML -113
