West Virginia vs UNC Pick, Betting Analysis

The Ole Miss bullpen may have failed me on Friday, but I'm going to continue to fade the North Carolina Tar Heels.

The West Virginia Mountaineers match up well with UNC.

At this stage, it starts on the mound, and that's where West Virginia has the edge with Maxx Yehl. Yehl, the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, had a tremendous season, posting a 2.10 ERA and 1.06 WHIP, and he hasn't slowed down in the postseason.

Yehl, a lefty, will cause fits for the Tar Heels lineup that features five lefties, including their hottest hitter, Owen Hull.

As for the Tar Heels, starter Ryan Lynch has electric stuff, but he doesn't miss a ton of bats, and command is much more of a concern than it is for Yehl.

The off day helped each 'pen rest a bit, but to me, it's clear the Mountaineers are being undervalued.

Back West Virginia to notch another win in Omaha.

Pick: West Virginia ML +125
