The first game of the Sweet 16 on Thursday will be played between Gonzaga and Arkansas, and according to our college basketball PRO Report, there is a serious edge to be taken ahead of this showdown.
The Bulldogs and Razorbacks dealt with some scares en route to this stage of the tournament, but showed solid perseverance and toughness to get through.
For Gonzaga, a battle for 30 minutes with Georgia State was blown open toward the end and Memphis put up an even bigger fight in the Round of 32. Houston secured a four-point victory in the first round against Vermont before slugging through a low-scoring affair with New Mexico State.
Unsurprisingly, as the overall one seed of the tournament, Gonzaga is favored by oddsmakers and the betting public to take home the title at +240, but Arkansas is a major long-shot, listed at +5000 odds.
