Florida vs. Prairie View A&M/Lehigh Analysis
This will be the 88th year of the single-elimination bracket, and there have been two 16-seeds that have upset a 1-seed. And if there is an upset this season, it won’t be either Prairie View A&M or Lehigh.
After their First Four game, the winner gets awarded a matchup against defending national champion Florida. And worse news? They were just beaten handily in the SEC Tournament, so they’ll be angry and highly motivated.
Both the Panthers and Mountain Hawks were mediocre in their own conference, but the benefit of individual conference brackets allowed for quite a few upsets.
Florida is the bigger and more talented team, but beyond individual stats and metrics, this Gators team has one thing no other team in the nation has. They have a championship pedigree, returning both Alex Condon and Thomas Haugh, who were key contributors to their championship run last season. Plus, they added star sophomore Boogie Fland from Arkansas.
This will be a wide margin of victory.
