College Basketball Projections, Picks: Tanner McGrath's Power Ratings & Score Model Image

Led by the nation’s leading scorer, Nick Martinelli (24 PPG), the Wildcats are well above-average in rolling and posting sets. Martinelli and Co. should create plenty of scoring opportunities against a Washington defense that can’t cover either action (1.14 roll PPP allowed, 18th percentile; 1.02 post PPP allowed, 11th percentile).

I don’t love how Washington matches up on the other end, but Northwestern is weak on the defensive glass, which should allow Hannes Steinbach to eat on second-chance opportunities.

Plus, I think the Washington offense has looked better as Zoom Diallo has settled into the point guard position more — he’s dished out 23 assists over his past four games at a 35% rate.

My Pick: Over 146.5 or Better
