Friday night football is here, and with Toledo heading to East Lansing, UTEP visiting Norman, and Miami squaring off with Stanford in the ACC opener, there's a great lineup of games to add to your betting card.
I came through with three player props for Friday, including picks for Michigan State's Cam Edwards, Oklahoma's Isaiah Sategna III and Stanford's Davis Warren.
With that said, let's dive into my top three college football player props and NCAAF picks for Week 1 on Friday, Sept. 4.

Cam Edwards Anytime TD Scorer (-160)
Cam Edwards arrives in East Lansing off one of the best seasons any running back in the country had last year. He posted 1,240 yards and 15 touchdowns on 210 carries at UConn, a workload that ranked top-15 nationally in both categories.
New Michigan State head coach Pat Fitzgerald hasn't been shy about what he thinks Edwards can be, going as far as calling him a potential candidate for the best running back in the country.
It's clear from fall camp reporting that Edwards is the centerpiece of this retooled offense. The game plan lines up perfectly with that role.
Michigan State is a double-digit home favorite over Toledo, and with a new coordinator and dozens of new faces on the roster, it makes sense to stick to the ground game.
The expectation is that the Spartans will lean on the rushing attack to keep things simple in Week 1 rather than ask a first-year system to operate through the air right away.
That's exactly the kind of script that equals clock control, with short-yardage, goal-line opportunities for the lead back.
Combine a proven 15-touchdown workhorse with a favored team that's likely to run early and often to protect a new quarterback, and Edwards finding the end zone at least once is a great first click tonight.

Isaiah Satenga III Over 51.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Isaiah Sategna III enters this season as the clear centerpiece of Oklahoma's passing attack.
He broke out in his first year in Norman with 965 yards and eight touchdowns on 67 catches, good for third in the entire SEC in receiving yards and first-team All-SEC honors.
With three of Oklahoma's top four pass-catchers from that group now gone, he returns as the unquestioned No. 1 target.
Just as importantly, quarterback John Mateer is back after leading OU to the College Football Playoff, meaning the exact connection that produced big plays like a 58-yard touchdown against LSU and an 87-yard score against Missouri last season is still intact.
The workload math supports clearing this number too.
Sategna's 965 yards over 13 games in 2025 works out to roughly 74 yards per game, comfortably above this line. He also found room for at least 50 yards in the vast majority of his outings, even during Mateer's midseason accuracy dip after hand surgery.
Add in that this is a home opener against UTEP, a Conference USA opponent that Oklahoma should control from the jump, and there's little reason to expect a game script that limits his usual target share.
With a full year of chemistry built with his quarterback and no real threat to his role atop the depth chart, the pieces are in place for Sategna to pick up right where he left off.

Davis Warren Over 0.5 Passing Touchdowns (+100)
Stanford quarterback Davis Warren just gave everyone a live look at what he can do.
In his long-awaited return from a torn ACL, he threw for a career-high 310 yards on 22-of-34 passing in Stanford's win over Hawaii, including a touchdown pass to Atticus Joseph, and set up multiple other scores with explosive completions of 57 and 48 yards.
That's a strong debut for a former walk-on who beat out four other quarterbacks for the job. It shows he's fully capable of pushing the ball downfield and finishing drives in the end zone even after a lengthy layoff.
Friday's matchup with Miami is a much tougher test. Stanford is a significant underdog against a team that played for the national title last season, but that context actually helps this angle specifically.
Only one score is needed, and a Stanford team facing a talent gap of this size will likely be throwing the ball often while playing from behind.
Warren has already shown in Week 0 he can push the ball vertically to weapons like Joseph, JonAnthony Hall and freshman Zion Robinson. Even a program that struggled offensively a year ago found the end zone through the air in its opener.
At even money, hitting on just one passing touchdown in a game where Stanford will likely be throwing plenty is an angle with plenty of value.
