North Carolina sports betting will launch March 11, and there are plenty of new user promotions to glean when that time comes. And that's just in time for the ACC Tournament and March Madness, two tentpole events in a state as crazy about college basketball as North Carolina.

Which begs the question: Can you wager on college player props and in-state teams on North Carolina betting apps?

There are 12 states that allow bettors to bet college player props in some fashion, though they vary on whether you can make in-state wagers on player props.

North Carolina will permit both collegiate player props and in-state wagers on teams like UNC, Duke, NC State and Wake Forest.

That's with the mindset that those teams will be perhaps the most popular general wagers in the marketplace — perhaps even more so than some local professional teams.

The ACC Tournament tips off on Tuesday, March 12 — a day after North Carolina launches sports betting. Then, a week later, it'll be March Madness.
