THE BLITZ is forecasting 1.16 receptions for Tez Johnson compared to 2.02 receptions implied by sportsbooks, so I believe there is some value here. If you take the under, you’d be projected to win 69% of the time, resulting in a 44% ROI. Based on a $100 wager, the expected value here would be $44.02. This play is good down to at least -148.

I’ve considered Yoshi a sneaky ATD bet over the last couple of seasons, but he’s a player I’m looking to fade in Week 1 based on a few things that could be different this year. The Bengals should still be very pass heavy, but they are planning on being bit more balanced this year, especially if the defense improves (which I’m guessing it does). They may also use more TE-heavy personnel (which would eat Into his playing time) and take more snaps under center, which is especially interesting because Iosivas’ target rate absolutely cratered to just 5% on under-center snaps last year. The Bucs also tend to blitz at a high rate under Todd Bowles, and his target rate dropped to just 8% against the blitz. I was also really impressed with fourth-round rookie Colbie Young, who may not factor in right away but could become a threat to Iosivas’ role as the season goes on.
I’m projecting this closer to 1.4 receptions with around a 59% chance to stay under 1.5. I wouldn’t fade his yardage since he tends to get downfield or end-zone targets, so receptions is the specific market I want to attack. It’s a wide range of outcomes on a low prop, but these are exactly the types of Week 1 spots I love, where digging into personnel changes, potential scheme shifts, camp/preseason and recent news can give us an edge before we just wait around for a week of data to tell us what changed.

This is an early test for two of my more intriguing playoff-contender teams. Bengals -3.5 feels heavy; the Bucs are very live here. We have the highest total on the board, meaning plenty of scoring, and we are targeting two of the worst tight-end defenses in the NFL.
Cincinnati allowed the most tight end fantasy points in the league in each of the last two seasons. Their sophomore linebackers, Demetrius Knight and Barrett Carter, are a real weak spot. Tampa Bay isn't much better, finishing top-seven in most tight-end points allowed for three straight years—a classic Todd Bowles weakness.
Cade Otton had all but two tight end catches for Tampa Bay last season. The Bengals allowed a staggering 116 tight-end receptions last year (6.8 per game), most in the NFL, yielding six or more catches to the position in 12 of 17 games.
Otton tends to be more of an all-or-nothing guy.
Over the last two years, he had three or fewer catches in 15 of 30 games. That's half, and it means the line at 3.5 receptions doesn't have much standalone value.
But Otton also had eight games with 6+ catches (including games of 7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 9, and 9). So I'll skip the median outcomes and attack the Otton alternate lines.

The first prop I played all year was Bengals tight end Erick All. He caught my eye during camp as Cincinnati's true do-everything tight end. He can block, he can catch, and he is an every-down guy. He is finally healthy after missing all of last season.
In his nine games as a rookie, All had two or more catches seven times, racking up 20+ yards in five of those. He had four catches in two of his three games with 30+ snaps.
Tampa Bay allowed two or more catches to a tight end 20 times last year (including 11 times in their final eight games) and allowed four or more catches 11 times.
I think books are badly underestimating how much All will be part of this Cincinnati offense this season.
