Odds for both potential NFC Championship Game matchups have been released on FanDuel, and Bucs vs. 49ers opened with the No. 1 seed as a whopping 10.5-point favorite at home.

While the 49ers entered the Divisional Round as the No. 8 team since 1981 according to DVOA, the Bucs were ranked No. 18, although they've trended upward in recent weeks. Overall, both the betting public and underlying metrics regard the Bucs as merely an average team, one that sneaked into the playoffs on account of a weak schedule and poor division.

And even with the 49ers playing one of their sloppiest games of the season in a win against the Packers on Saturday night, the -10.5 spread is justified given the personnel matchups pertinent to this game.

This matchup, of course, will only take place if the Bucs upset the Lions on Sunday as 6.5-point underdogs.

If the Lions win, the road map would be more complicated for the 49ers, but not substantially so. The 49ers would then have -330 odds to represent the NFC during the Super Bowl. The spread opened at -7 for that matchup out of Santa Clara.
