Tennessee Titans Betting Preview: Cam Ward is Not That Dude
The Titans offense is completely broken.
Cam Ward in Year 2 is averaging a pitiful five-yard average depth of target. He looks terrified to take chances, refusing to throw into tight windows, and the playcalling under offensive coordinator Brian Daboll is a disaster.
Tennessee's wide receivers are literally running into each other on the field. The running game has been serviceable with Tyjae Spears and Tony Pollard — those two will likely be leaned on heavily against the Giants. Still, you need a quarterback who's willing to push the ball downfield to exploit a vulnerable secondary like New York's.
Right now, Ward simply isn't that guy. He's dinking and dunking to nowhere.
The Titans' special teams unit is also bleeding yardage. They are kicking touchbacks on 57% of their kickoffs under this new rule — while the league average is 16% — surrendering about 10 hidden yards of field position every single time.
New York Giants Betting Preview: The Jameis Winston Experience
Giants fans had hope entering the season, but you can confidently stick a fork in this team.
Jaxson Dart is out for the regular season after undergoing surgery to repair his MCL and meniscus, meaning Jameis Winston gets the start.
Winston is the exact opposite of Cam Ward — the veteran QB will force throws into tight windows and take massive risks, giving you the full Jameis experience of touchdowns and interceptions. However, Winston does not fit the Giants' offensive scheme whatsoever.
New York wants to be a physical rushing team that utilizes play-action plays and a mobile quarterback. Winston doesn't have the legs or the arm strength to execute that vision.
To make matters worse, the Giants are very banged up. Edge rusher Brian Burns is doubtful, and left tackle Andrew Thomas is dealing with a groin injury.
When Thomas is out, this offensive line gets blown to smithereens.

I like Under 39.5 in what profiles as the grossest game of NFL Week 3.
We have two opposite quarterbacks with one thing in common: they are both huge liabilities. Ward is playing scared and refusing to throw the ball, while Winston has never seen a throwing opportunity he doesn't like.
Factor in the potential for wind and rain, and you have the perfect recipe for an ugly, low-scoring slog.
The Titans are a decent teaser piece getting through the key numbers of 3 and 7, but the Under is the most logical path here.
