Vegas Golden Knights ML (+105)

The Knights will bounce back with a much stronger and more cohesive effort than they displayed in Game 2. Wednesday's effort was reminiscent of Game 4 against the Sharks, and Vegas responded well in Game 5. Also, being at home is not the greatest thing for the Capitals, as they have struggled there all postseason. The injury to Evgeny Kuznetsov could be a huge blow to the Capitals as the series wears on. I look for the Knights to grab control of the series at the plus-money price.

Vegas Team Total Goals (2.5)

I love this bet. Vegas struggled mightily in Game 2 to score, I think it gets a little easier tonight. They were sloppy and out of sync with one another. That usually never happens, and I cannot see it happening two games in a row. The urgency will be there for this team tonight, and that almost always results in goals being scored by Vegas. Take the here and rest easy.

THE PICK: Over (-115)

Game Total (5.5)

I think this game is a little more like Game 1 than Game 2. I don't think we'll see 10 goals on the board, but Over 5.5 won't be a problem. Braden Holtby was sensational in Game 2, but he has had some clunkers at home in these playoffs. That fact, coupled with Vegas' renewed offensive focus, should result in quite a few goals from Vegas, and I don't think the Caps offense gets shut down entirely at home, either.
