Taking a look at the trading boards, the Georgia Senate race stands out as one of the most lopsided setups across prediction markets. Jon Ossoff holds a commanding lead over Mike Collins, but with less than two months to go until Election Day, Collins finally picked up the endorsement of Governor Brian Kemp in a late push to reverse the numbers priced in by traders. Let’s analyze this market and break down where this Senate race currently stands.

Ossoff’s Absolute Command on the Georgia Senate Race

The market map paints a troubling picture for Mike Collins. Ever since March, when he surrendered his lead on the trading board to incumbent Democratic Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff, the gap between them has widened exponentially. That brings us to today's landscape, where Ossoff commands a massive 93% implied probability of holding his seat.

Pointing to President Donald Trump's 2-point win against former Vice President Kamala Harris in 2024, Republicans argue the contest remains competitive. On the other hand, Democrats contend that Trump's drop in national approval ratings—mostly driven by economic anxieties—gives them the upper hand in this tightly contested swing state.

The Endorsement That Came Too Late?

The Republican challenger faces an uphill battle against an entrenched incumbent. Making matters harder, Collins had been operating without the backing of Governor Brian Kemp, who initially endorsed Collins’s rival in the GOP primary.

That awkward rift came to an end on Monday. In an official statement, Kemp announced: "Mike Collins and I share a commitment to making Georgia an even better place to live, work, and raise a family."

In his endorsement, the governor highlighted Collins’s track record as a businessman and local leader, framing those credentials as exactly what Georgia needs in its next senator. Kemp also seized the moment to draw a sharp contrast with Jon Ossoff, slamming him as a far-left candidate whose agenda fails to represent Georgia values.

As Georgia's governor wraps up his second and final term in January, he remains among the state's most favored political figures, holding the No. 5 spot in a July Morning Consult approval ranking. Fueled by that broad popularity, many Republicans heavily urged him to launch a Senate challenge against Ossoff, but he ultimately opted out.

Republicans hope this tight alignment between the governor and the Senate candidate will help Collins erase Ossoff's lead across both prediction markets and traditional polling. However, the key question hanging over the market is whether this high-profile endorsement came too late to shift the momentum and turn the tide.

What Polls Indicate vs. Prediction Markets Odds

On the Kalshi trading board, Jon Ossoff commands an absolute lead that has steadily widened for months. However, recent polling suggests the race for Georgia’s Senate seat could tighten as it enters the final 50-day home stretch before Election Day.

In a recent Trafalgar Group survey, Ossoff drew support from 49.4% of respondents, while Collins stood at 42.8%. Libertarian candidate Allen Buckley garnered just 1.3% of the vote. While Ossoff maintains a firm lead, these figures hint at a potential uptick in momentum for Collins heading into November 3.

Republicans hope this marks the first step toward a historic comeback effort to deliver Collins the win. Meanwhile, the Ossoff campaign responded directly to the poll numbers: "Georgia is a battleground state and Senator Ossoff is already facing millions of dollars of Republican spending against him. The Ossoff campaign will continue to build unstoppable momentum and work to earn every vote across the state of Georgia."
