Liverpool vs. Newcastle Picks, Parlay
Leg 1: Both Teams to Score
Leg 2: Liverpool to Win
Leg 3: Hugo Ekitike to Score
The Reds beat the Magpies to the signing of Hugo Ekitike. The forward has made an excellent start to life on Merseyside, and we are backing him to continue that good start by haunting the team that tried to bring him in as part of our Newcastle vs Liverpool predictions.
Ekitike has scored in both of his competitive matches for Liverpool thus far. He netted the opening goal in the Community Shield and had two other big opportunities to score. His tall frame, excellent touch, and blistering pace make him a thorn in the side of opposition defenders.
Hugo also impressed in the league opener against Bournemouth. He scored the first goal of the match once again and assisted Liverpool’s second. In that match, Ekitike had four attempts and finished with an xG of 1.14. If he continues to get in the right areas, the former Eintracht Frankfurt striker will have plenty of opportunities in Arne Slot’s team.
Over the past 12 months, Ekitike has been thriving in front of goal. His non-penalty xG of 0.61 per 90 puts him in the 94th percentile when compared with all forwards playing across Europe’s top five leagues. If his early matches are anything to go by, those numbers will only improve with a Liverpool side that will create an extraordinary amount of chances.

Liverpool vs. Newcastle Betting Analysis
Arne Slot’s first-ever Premier League visit to St James’ Park ended 3-3 last season, and each team recorded at least two xG (expected goals).
More recently, Newcastle deservedly beat Liverpool in the EFL Cup final (1-2), scoring twice before Federico Chiesa found a late consolation goal.
We can expect a fierce atmosphere on Monday night, considering Liverpool's current involvement in the transfer saga with Alexander Isak.
In their first league game at St James’ Park of the season, Newcastle will be urged to attack and press the champions of England.
Bournemouth showed on matchday one that Liverpool can be exploited if you get them turning and facing their own goal. Antoine Semenyo’s two strikes and the 1.7xG generated by the Cherries indicate this new look defensive line is not operating near maximum efficiency.
Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk struggled at times, while Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong are still learning their roles at full-back for Liverpool.
Although it was 0-0 at Villa Park on matchday one, the Magpies looked bright without Isak. Eddie Howe’s side accumulated 1.43xG across 90 minutes but couldn’t find the net.
