Alex Scott warned against Chelsea move

The sale of Argentinian midfielder Enzo Fernandez on deadline day left Chelsea and Xabi Alonso incredibly short in midfield. It’s been an issue during the early parts of the season, which has only been compounded by the injury to Moises Caicedo. Monaco’s Lamine Camara slipped away after a deal with the French club broke down. It now appears as though Bournemouth’s Alex Scott has moved to the front of the queue. The Cherries, though, are showing no sign of softening their valuation.

Speaking exclusively to Action Network, Glen Johnson gave his verdict on whether Scott is ready for a move to one of the Premier League’s top clubs. He also explained why he’d still back Chelsea to pursue the injury-hit Frenkie de Jong. He also delved into why Cole Palmer’s new contract has made him close to impossible for other clubs to sign.

Can Scott’s arrival improve Chelsea’s chances of winning the Premier League? At the time of writing, Polymarket puts their title chances at just 4%. Fans following the title race can also check out the latest Polymarket promo code.
