Canada and the United States will face off tonight at 6:45 p.m. EDT at ScottsMiracles-Gro Field in Columbus, Ohio.

This rivalry is not comparable to that of men's hockey, but could still potentially be fueled by that recent gold medal clash.

These teams will face off with the World Cup final qualifying tournament — scheduled for November — in mind.

The USWNT is favored at a -200 price, with the over/under set at 2.5 (+105o/-122u) goals.

Let's get into my USA vs. Canada prediction.

Canada SheBelieves Cup Betting Prediction

Canada entered this tournament on a terrible run, having lost their previous five matches without scoring a goal.

They will be making their fourth appearance in the SheBelieves Cup after participating in 2024 (finished in second place), 2023 (fourth), and 2021 (third).

The team lost forward Olivia Smith for this tournament after the Arsenal player suffered a concussion on February 22 and was replaced on the roster by Megan Reid (Denver Summit). The rest of the squad is available for head coach Casey Stoney.

Despite the historical dominance of their rivals, Canada has gained ground in recent years, not only claiming their first victory against the US at the 2021 Olympics, but also securing two draws (both 2-2) in the past five matchups.

Although their gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics feels like a distant memory, Canada remembered how to win convincingly on Sunday, beating Colombia 4-1 to start the SheBelieves Cup.

Vanessa Gilles opened the scoring in the 31st minute, and Janine Sonis (67), Sydney Collins (73), and Nichelle Prince (90) rounded up the thrashing.

USA SheBelieves Cup Betting Prediction

The USWNT has won seven of the 10 SheBelieves Cups, lifting the trophy in 2016, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.

This team entered the tournament on a very different path than its opponents, having won its past five matches (all friendlies) without conceding a goal, while scoring 22.

Defender Emily Sonnett is appearing in her 11th SheBelieves Cup, making her the only player to have been in every edition of the tournament. Midfielders Lindsey Heaps and Rose Lavelle have played in 10 editions, and the three players have more than 100 matches with the national team.

The head-to-head belongs to the USWNT with 24 wins, five draws, and just one loss. The USWNT has won 16 of 19 home matches against their neighbors, with two draws and just one defeat.

They also won the last meeting between these teams, 3-0, just a year ago.

Sunday's debut was a challenge, but the USWNT came out on top 2-0 against an aggressive and physical Argentina.

Despite having plenty of young and up-and-coming players, it was the captain, Lindsey Heaps, who put on a show and carried the team to victory with the opening goal in the 19th minute and later provided an assist for Jaedyn Shaw (56).

Heaps, with 171 caps in her career, has now scored in 12 consecutive years for the USWNT.

USA vs. Canada Pick

The past two Olympic gold medalists — the US won in Paris 2024 — will meet tonight, and the great debut from the Canadian team raises the expectations for this matchup.

Nevertheless, recent performances point toward a USWNT victory that could fall in line with the lopsided history of this rivalry.

I also expect the total score to go over 2.5 as these teams put their best talent on the field.

USA vs. Canada Pick: USA Moneyline and Over 2.5 Goals
