Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic booked a blockbuster semifinal match after winning their Tuesday French Open quarterfinal matches against Stefanos Tsitsipas and Karen Khachanov, respectively.
Alcaraz advanced out of the first quarter of the draw, while Djokovic advanced out of the second quarter of the draw — both as significant favorites.
Coming into the French Open, Alcaraz was No. 1 in the world and Djokovic was No. 3, but the duo have largely been trading places at the top of the rankings since 2022. Daniil Medvedev also cracked the top spot for a brief period of time.
If Djokovic beats Alcaraz and wins the French Open, he will reclaim the top spot in the ATP.

Alcaraz is listed as a -210 favorite against Djokovic, who is a +172 underdog.
The lone time these two met in the past came in Madrid in the spring of 2022. Prior to the match, it was essentially a pick 'em, with Alcaraz listed at -120 and Djokovic at +100 on the moneyline.
Alcaraz ended up winning the match in a third set tiebreaker.
