Kiki is coming off 3 straight games with 9+ rebounds, including 11 last game, but that came in the 4 OT game against Portland where she played 47 minutes. I’m expecting her to come back down to Earth a bit here in a tougher matchup against the Dream. Kiki dominates on close-range misses, but Atlanta makes those tougher to grab with Angel Reese controlling so much of the glass around the rim, often off her own misses. The Dream do supply a ton of missed 3s above the break, but those rebounds are more spread out on the Mystics, so fewer of those chances tend to fall to Kiki. Another sneaky factor is Madina Okot starting to see an uptick in playing time for the Dream, and she’s been a beast on the glass. Just watch the game when she checks in and you’ll see why her increase in minutes makes this a tougher matchup for Kiki. I’m projecting Kiki closer to 7.8 boards with around a 63% chance to stay under. Will I be shocked if she gets to 9+ again, similar to the Miz strikeout prop? Of course not. But this should be a tougher spot for her to rack up boards than the recent game logs suggest.
